GETTING THERE

GETTING THERE
The journey to Palm Springs is half the fun!
But first answer this question: Do you want to rent a car?
Yes, I want to rent a car.
Congratulations! You've earned another question: Are you feeling adventurous, or would you wrather take it easy-ish?

I'm up for adventure.

Look at you! Make the most of California and drive Jonathan and Kelly's favorite road trip down Rt. 1 on the California Coast. It's Magical. For this adventure you should fly into San Francisco, Oakland, or San Jose airports.
I want to take it easy.

Then let's keep it easy-breezy and find you the best deal for travel. Because you're renting a car you can fly into any Southern California airport and it'll be roughly the same drive time to Palm Springs, so pick whichever one makes the most $$$ sense for you: LAX, John Wayne, Burbank, Long Beach, or Ontario. Of course you can still always fly straight into Palm Springs AND rent a car if you're big on freedom but small on time.

No, and how dare you ask.
Sorry to upset you. Let us make it up to you with some sage advice — you should fly straight into Palm Springs International Airport and take a quick Uber/Lyft/taxi to the hotel from there!

The Wedding Party Party

Genevieve Ernst
Officiant
The three of us met each other in the same week, back when Bushwick was East Williamsburg.
Jessica
Torres
OG pas de deux partners by the age of 4. Sleeping on the floor of a Madrid train station by the age of 21. Always down for an impromptu improvisational lounge singer duet.

Eliza
Mack-Connor
High School drama club royalty. We still hold the record for longest awkward on-stage kiss. She's the perfect overzealous puppy to my grumpy cat.

Jane
Coxwell
Pizza, dive-bar & drag queen enthusiasts. Travel buddies to the edge of the world and back.

Sloane
French
Bicoastal art school grads with an affection for small living quarters. She's the only reason I stopped wearing 6 hemp necklaces in the mid-2000s.

Christian Henry
Big Brother = Best debate opponent / worst babysitter. He took me to my first concert, my first bar & my first dirty standup comic.

Alexander Henry
No, my little brother and I are not twins but sometimes one of us dresses up like the other just to confuse our nephew.

Arianna
Henry
My favorite little sister is... well,
she's a little bit... She's a little bit...
She's a little bit a-la la la la la la,
A little bit Alexis.

Ricky
Alas
The more sensative style of fraternity brothers, we studied Creative Arts in college and wrote and performed an original song once, thankfully before Youtube.

Jared
Kole
I was his Freshman Orientation Leader and I've continued to do an excellent job forcing him to like me ever since.

Katie
Osgood
Our parents used to talk for hours in the supermarket when they'd run into each other, and it was miserable, until, one day, we realized we too were friends.

Randi
Stuart
Loch Ness to Lady Bug Lane, we've been confusing strangers with our names since we bunked up and bonded to a European Winter Chill during my semester abroad.

Yasmin Hosseinzadeh-Wyatt
From the windows to the walls of my fraternity heart, my Laffy Taffy Little Sis is always there to remind me I'm doing the best that I can.

Meghan
Kennedy
Friends since we both had the "smart" idea to take PE summer school. Plus MK backwards stands for Kelly Michael, I don't make the rules.

Shannon
McCarthy
Equal parts sarcasm, sleep, and side-eye, it's almost like we're related. Or rather, it's precisely because we're related.

1 Tram Way, Palm Springs, CA

3. Joshua Tree
National Park
Highway 62 Entrance, Joshua Tree, CA
Directions • Website
Two distinct desert ecosystems come together in Joshua Tree National Park. But plan everything ahead because there's no cell reception.

5. The Living Desert
47900 Portola Ave, Palm Desert, CA
Directions • Website
For five decades The Living Desert has been engaged in the important work of preserving, conserving, and interpreting the desert and all its varied plant and animal life. 4. Pioneertown
53688 Pioneertown Rd, Pioneertown, CA
Directions • Website
Pioneertown was established in 1946 as a "Living Breathing Movie Set," a functioning 1880's themed town easily accessible from Los Angeles to film in. More than 5o westerns were filmed here during the 194o's 195o's. Nowadays it's got a few permanent residents, a few old-timey shops, and a popular bar/restaurant/venue that manages to book some surprisingly A-list acts.

6. Cabazon Dinosaurs
50770 Seminole Dr, Cabazon, CA
Directions • Website
The Cabazon Dinosaurs have long been regarded as one of the most iconic roadside attractions in the US. Featured in cult classics such as Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure, you might say these dinosaurs have, ahem, fossilized their image in campy pop culture.

8. Palm Springs
Art Museum
101 N Museum Dr, Palm Springs, CA
Directions • Website
A "big-city" art museum with a bit of everything — modern and contemporary stuff, western and glass stuff, plus several temporary exhibitions throughout the year. They also offer a range of theatrical and musical performances, as well as architecturally significant house tours celebrating Palm Springs' unique midcentury aesthetic.

10. Windmill Farm
Garnet Road, Whitewater, CA
Directions • Website
This otherworldly windmill farm is a site to be seen, and in fact, you've probably seen it in lots of movies and TV shows. You can book a fancy Windmill Tour if you want, but you can also just cruise around Garnet Road to get up close and take your own pics with these almost unbelievably massive manmade monoliths.
